SECTION 2: PRICING & PAYMENT

  • Lice Oasis pricing:

    • Professional head checks:(clinic): $30 per person

    • Lice removal treatment (clinic): $200 per person

    • Professional head checks:(mobile): $40 per person

    • Lice removal treatment (mobile): $250 per person

Important: If treatment is needed, the treatment fee includes the head check, it's not additional.

No hidden fees. No surprise costs. No pressure to buy products.

  • Yes! If treatment is needed, the $30 head check fee is included in the $195 treatment price.

    You only pay:

    • $30 if you just need a head check (no treatment needed)

    • $200 if you need treatment (includes the head check)

    We don't charge you twice!

Please note: Mobile prices are $40 & $250.

  • The only thing we’re bringing is relief! We don’t charge a separate travel fee for our house calls. To keep things easy, we’ve bundled everything into our mobile pricing so you don't have to worry about extra line items. Think of it as a VIP service with no hidden delivery charge.

  • We accept:

    • Cash

    • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex)

    • Debit cards

    • Venmo

    • Zelle

    • HSA/FSA

Payment is collected at the time of service.

  • No! We never require non-refundable deposits or booking fees.

Many lice removal companies pressure families into paying upfront deposits before they even know if they need treatment. We don't do that. You pay only when service is provided.

  • Some insurances do!

We always recommend everyone check with their insurance company and if you need any additional documentation, just let us know and we’ll be happy to provide it.

  • Our professional lice removal treatment includes:

Step 1: Assessment - We check everyone you would like us to and show you exactly what we find

Step 2: Treatment - Meticulous combing with professional-grade tools to remove 100% of lice and nits

Step 3: Education - We explain what lice are, how they spread, and what you actually need to do at home (spoiler: not much!)

Step 4: Follow-Up Plan - We offer two optional bonus checks (included in Coast is Clear Guarantee) that you can schedule right online before you even leave!

Step 5: Documentation - We provide school notes if needed

Total time: Under 1 hour per person

  • Never! We use 100% chemical-free, non-toxic methods.

    Why? Because:

    • Lice have become highly resistant to OTC chemical treatments (they don't work)

    • Chemicals don't kill eggs, so lice come back

    • Harsh on sensitive scalps, especially kids

    • Not necessary when professional combing works better

Our method: Meticulous manual removal with professional-grade combs. It's the only proven method that works 100% of the time.

  • No! Our process is gentle and comfortable.

Kids watch videos during treatment and have treats to choose from to keep them distracted. We use high-quality combs and techniques that don't hurt the scalp.

Parents are often surprised by how calm and stress-free the experience is!

  • We stand behind our work with our Coast is Clear lice-free guarantee!

    What's included:

    • 100% removal of all lice and nits during treatment

    • TWO free follow-up head checks within 30 days

    • Free re-treatment if lice return (when guarantee requirements are met)

    To qualify for the guarantee:

    1. Everyone in the household must be checked, and if lice are found, treated by Lice Oasis

    2. If your child spends time in two households (divorced/separated parents), everyone in both homes must be checked and treated if lice are present

    3. One Bonus Follow-Up Check must be scheduled and completed within 7 days of treatment

Why these requirements? Because lice spread easily among household members. If we treat your child but not the parent who also has lice, your child will get re-infested immediately. The guarantee ensures the entire household is lice-free.

  • As part of our Coast is Clear Guarantee, every treatment includes two complimentary head checks within 30 days:

Bonus Check #1: Must be completed within 7 days of treatment (required for guarantee)

Bonus Check #2: Anytime within 30 days (for peace of mind)

    Why we include these:

    • Confirms treatment worked

    • Catches any new exposure from school/friends

    • Gives you peace of mind

    • Shows we stand behind our work

Cost: FREE (included with every treatment)

  • No! We provide everything needed:

    ✅ Professional-grade lice combs

    ✅ All treatment supplies

    ✅ Education materials

    ✅ School documentation (if needed)

SECTION 3: TREATMENT DETAILS

  • It can be tricky to tell the difference, but there are key signs:

    Lice eggs (nits):

    • Tiny, oval-shaped, stuck firmly to the hair shaft

    • Usually found near the scalp (especially behind ears, nape of neck)

    • Feel like a speed bump when you run your fingers over them

    • Don't brush off easily

    Dandruff:

    • Flaky, irregular shapes

    • Falls off easily when touched

    • Found on scalp and throughout hair

    • Brushes away with no resistance

The speed bump test: Run your fingers along a strand of hair. If it feels like a bump stuck to the hair, it's likely an egg. If it brushes off, it's dandruff.

Not sure? Book a $30 professional head check and we'll give you an accurate answer in 10 minutes.

  • Lice spread through direct head-to-head contact.

    Common ways kids get lice:

    • Playing together (heads touching)

    • Sleepovers (sharing pillows/beds)

    • Sports (huddles, helmets touching)

    • Selfies (heads together for photos)

    • Group activities (circle time at school)

    Lice do NOT:

    ❌ Jump or fly

    ❌ Live on pets

    ❌ Spread through classroom furniture

❌ Mean someone is dirty (having lice has nothing to do with hygiene)

Bottom line: Any child who plays with other children can get lice. It's not about cleanliness or parenting - it's just part of childhood.

  • No, and they can actually do more harm than good.

    Why they don't work:

Resistance: Lice have become highly resistant to over-the-counter and prescription pesticides (studies prove it)

Don't kill eggs: Chemical treatments might kill some bugs, but they don't kill the eggs, so lice return in 7-10 days

Health concerns: Pesticides are harsh on sensitive scalps, especially children

False security: Parents think one treatment worked, but lice come back (because eggs weren't removed)

What DOES work: Professional manual removal with high-quality combs. It's the only method that removes 100% of lice AND eggs in one session.

At Lice Oasis, we use chemical-free, proven methods that actually work the first time.

  • Good news: You really don't have to do much at all!

Why: Lice can't live more than 24 hours off the human head. They need a scalp to survive. Once they're off the head, they're done.

What you SHOULD do: ✅ Change sheets for anyone who had lice ✅ Put hairbrushes/accessories in the freezer overnight

What you DON'T need to do: ❌ Bag stuffed animals ❌ Vacuum the entire house ❌ Wash all clothing and bedding ❌ Deep-clean carpets or furniture ❌ Treat pets (lice don't live on animals)

We've got the lice part handled. You can relax.

  • Yes, absolutely!

    Why telling others matters:

    • Other kids might just seem "itchy" and parents won't think to check

    • Early detection stops spread quickly

    • It's not about blame - it's about teamwork

    • Prevents re-infestation cycles in the classroom

    How to handle it:

    • Let close friends/playmates know to check their kids

    • Notify your child's teacher or school nurse

    • Lice Oasis can provide school documentation if needed

Remember: Lice are common and not a reflection of cleanliness. Most parents appreciate the heads-up so they can check their own kids!

  • No! We provide everything needed:

    ✅ Professional-grade lice combs

    ✅ All treatment supplies

    ✅ Education materials

    ✅ School documentation (if needed)

SECTION 4: ABOUT LICE

SECTION 5: SCHOOL & ACTIVITIES

  • Yes! With our professional treatment, your child is cleared to return to school, sports, and all activities as soon as you leave.

    We provide:

    • School documentation (if your school requires a note)

    • Confirmation letter stating treatment was completed

    • Coast is Clear Guarantee showing our commitment

Some schools have "no nit" policies or require professional treatment confirmation. Our service meets all school requirements in Western Massachusetts.

  • A "no-nit policy" means schools don't allow students to return until all lice eggs (nits) are removed - not just the live bugs.

Massachusetts schools: Most schools in Springfield, Chicopee, Holyoke, Westfield, and Northampton don’t send children home for having lice anymore, but some may have some form of no-nit policy, though policies vary by district.

Why this matters: Our treatment removes 100% of lice AND nits in one session, so your child meets all school requirements immediately.

Need documentation? We provide school notes confirming complete lice removal.

  • Schools in Western Massachusetts may have the school nurse check before students can return to class after lice.

    How Lice Oasis helps:

    • We provide professional documentation the school nurse can review

    • Our treatment ensures complete nit removal so your child passes inspection

    • We include contact information if the nurse has questions

Worried about passing the school check? Our Coast is Clear Guarantee means we'll re-treat for free if any nits are found (when guarantee requirements are met). Just have them tape down what they find and bring it back to us.

SECTION 7: BOOKING & LOGISTICS

SECTION 8: PREVENTION & FOLLOW-UP

  • While you can't prevent lice 100% (they spread through normal kid activities), you can reduce risk:

What helps: ✅ Check your child's head weekly (especially during school year) ✅ Mint spray before school, activities and playdates ✅ Keep long hair tied back (ponytail, braid, bun) ✅ Don't share hats, helmets, brushes, or hair accessories ✅ Check immediately if you hear about lice at school

What DOESN'T work: ❌ Tea tree oil (minor deterrent at best) ❌ Keeping kids away from friends (unrealistic and unnecessary)

Best prevention: Mint spray, tight buns or braids and early detection through regular head checks!

  • Once a week, take a peek!

    • If you hear about lice at school, camp, or friends tell you their child has it

    • If your child complains of itching

    • After sleepovers or team sports

    How to check:

    • Use a professional grade lice comb and comb along the scalp

    • Section hair and look close to scalp

    • Check behind ears and nape of neck

    • Look for tiny oval eggs stuck to hair

Not confident checking yourself? Book a $30 professional head check at Lice Oasis!

  • If your child gets lice again within 30 days and you've met our Coast is Clear Guarantee requirements, we'll retreat for free.

If it's a new exposure (from school, friends, etc.) after 30 days:

    • We offer discounted re-treatment rates for returning clients

    • Call (413) 200-4787 to discuss pricing

Prevention tip: Check all household members during outbreaks to catch lice early!
